Terms of Service

Last updated: July 17, 2026

Welcome to Ecomentic. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our headless e-commerce software platform, APIs, hosting services, and custom integrations.

1. Account & Tenancy

To deploy an Ecomentic engine, you must create a tenant account and register a business entity. We operate a multi-tenant, schema-isolated database architecture. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration details and maintain the security of your programmatic API keys and login credentials.

2. The "Zero App Tax" Guarantee & Billing

We charge flat subscription rates for infrastructure compute, bandwidth, and native SaaS modules (Nano, Growth, Scale, Enterprise) as configured on our pricing plans. Ecomentic does not levy per-order transaction fees, GMV percentages, or "App Taxes". You pay for the infrastructure you consume. All payments are processed through Razorpay or direct bank transfer, and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

3. Acceptable Use and Platform Integrity

Each plan carries resource allocations for staff users, physical inventory sites, API rate limits, and network bandwidth. You agree not to exceed your plan limits or engage in malicious bulk operations (e.g., recursive API calls) that compromise shared database performance. Ecomentic reserves the right to rate-limit or suspend tenants threatening core infrastructure stability.

4. Platform Uptime & SLA

We provide a 99.9% uptime SLA for dedicated hosting instances (Enterprise and Custom Business plans). Standard schema-isolated plans inherit public cloud infrastructure availability parameters. In the event of catastrophic downtime exceeding SLA thresholds on dedicated tiers, compensation is issued as billing credits.

5. The MIT Doomsday Covenant (Data & Code Ownership)

Unlike proprietary SaaS platforms, Ecomentic guarantees your independence. If Ecomentic ceases operations as a business entity, qualified tenants will inherit the full backend source code (API, Admin Dashboard, Modules) under the MIT License. Your data remains fully portable at all times and can be exported as raw SQL database dumps via the Admin dashboard.

6. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon termination, API access is revoked, and your schema data is queued for deletion within 30 days. You are solely responsible for exporting your data prior to termination.
